The Membership Director will oversee the day-to-day operations and personnel of the Welcome Center as part of an overall strategy to retain and grow branch membership and engagement.
Candidates should possess a strong set of sales, customer service and communications skills and experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects and functions aligned with the mission of the YMCA membership policies and procedures.
An Associates Degree or higher in communications, business management or recreation management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3 or more years of supervisory experience
3 or more years of experience working in the customer service or sales field
Experience working or volunteering in a Y or other nonprofit preferred
Working knowledge of SGAS or similar membership and sales software preferred
Possess strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
First Aid and CPR Certification within 60 days of employment
Strong computer and tablet skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Ability to work flexible schedules, and ensure department has adequate coverage at all times, including during weekends, early mornings and/or evenings as necessary
