Hours are 3:00 pm - 1:00 am (Monday - Friday)

The purpose of this position is to manufacturer and repair precision parts and components. Operate a variety of machine tools and equipment to accurately machine final products used in the underground and surface mining industries, as well as industrial markets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspecting parts for defects, flaws, deformities and making necessary repairs/adjustments to OEM specs
- Produce quality parts and components that require precise dimensions and tolerances
- Utilize manual lathes, mills, boring mills and drills
- Use precision measuring devices to ensure proper conformance to quality specifications
- Interpret blueprints or engineering drawings and adjusting machine requirements to obtain OEM specs
- Maintain tools/tooling and cleanliness of assigned work area
- Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
EXPERIENCE NECESSARY:
- 1-2+ years of previous experience manual machining on lathes and mills
- Knowledge of operation of machines and how they work
- Ability to interpret prints and drawings
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Knowledge of material used to produce parts and components
- High School Diploma or GED is required, comparable trade school or apprenticeship a plus
