Power Apps Developer - Portland, OR Job Summary: Dynalectric-Oregon is seeking an experienced Power Apps Developer to join our team. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, we are embarking on an exciting journey to enhance our business operations and processes using Microsoft’s Power Platform. As part of our dedicated Power Platform team, you will be a key contributor in transforming and optimizing company-wide operations from a foundational level. The successful candidate will work closely with all business units across company, leveraging their expertise to create seamless solutions that connect our business processes and bridge gaps between our overhead operations and the electrical installation work carried out on jobsites. The ability to effectively and humbly communicate and collaborate toward successful solutions with others is required. Duties and responsibilities: In partnership with our Power BI Developer and Business Processes team, the Power Apps Developer at Dynalectric will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle and help create solutions to business-critical processes via the Power Apps. Through this process you will: Create requirements and specifications. Design, present, and iterate application UI and UX to meet customer requirements. Test, troubleshoot, implement, and maintain custom apps. Provide support and troubleshooting for all applications, automations, and dashboards. Design and Development Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Power Platform solutions. Develop custom applications, automations, and dashboards using the Microsoft Power Platform: primarily Power Apps, SharePoint, and Power Automate. Implementation and Integration Work with stakeholders through the implementation of Power Platform tools, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes. Leverage established Role-Based Access Control systems to safeguard data and facilitate scalable access management. Work closely with IT and other departments to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues. Iteration and Improvement Continuously iterate on Power Platform solutions to enhance functionality and user experience. Create collaborative relationships with stakeholders to identify areas for operational improvements and implement/rollout changes to meet evolving business needs. Coordinate and collaborate with Business Process team to ensure functional processes are implemented. Service and Support Provide ongoing support for Power Platform applications, addressing user issues, bugs, and system errors promptly. Build and maintain supportive relationships with end-users to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance. Training and Growth Spearhead the development of training materials and methods for educating end-users on the proper use of these newly developed applications. Seek opportunities to train others and grow a robust Power Platform Development team. Collaborate with Training department to ensure end-users meet functional learning objectives. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Power Apps Developer with a demonstrable portfolio of successful projects. Proficiency in building Canvas Apps utilizing SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power BI. Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite and related technologies. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. Experience working with various data sources including SQL, SharePoint, Excel, Smartsheet, and various others. Education and Experience: 2+ years of experience in Power Apps development. Demonstrated experience and record of success in lieu of formal education is acceptable. Relevant Microsoft certifications are advantageous (for example, PL-900, PL-100) Competency integrating Power Platform solutions with other legacy tech stack solutions. Real world SDLC experience strongly preferred (simultaneous EOL/phase out & new solution implementation are of particular interest). Understanding of the commercial construction industry is preferred. Electrical trade knowledge/field experience a plus. Understanding and competency leveraging APIs is also valued but not mandatory. Working Conditions: Primarily Office-based with occasional trips to job sites for in-person coordination, collaboration, training, and educational objectives.
