[Position]Product Development Director- Beauty Industry[Job Summary]Seeking a Product Development Director to support in overseeing every element of the product from design to launch and beyond while ensuring it delivers value to both customers and business. The PD Director reports directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate is sharp, highly analytical, well-disciplined, and logicallyminded with a strong design/fashion/trend sense. Experience in working with factories and vendors in fashion, beauty, and/or cosmetics is required.[Major Duties & Responsibilities]Manage and coordinate communication with design, R&D, and productionteams in the U.S., Korea, and ChinaOrchestrate the end-to-end product development process by collaboratingwith all departments involved to ensure operational excellence, both for newproducts and changes to existing productsCreates unique color concepts, based on color & trend forecastingIdentifies formula and shade prototypes and manages briefs to R&DManages Formula Evaluation & Stability: track and evaluate all internal andexternal formulas, providing assessment and redirection where neededTranslates R&I platform technologies into consumer relevant ideas/benefits/RTBAttends key trade shows for emerging innovations to identify breakthroughproduct, package or trend opportunity.Leads comprehensive analysis on both category and segments to determineoverall product & shade trends and white space opportunitiesCollects consumer and market insights and findings for formula, design, andshade developmentOversee the design and manufacture and plan how to market and promotethe productMarket research and generate ideas for products based on market researchPlan and manage product development scheduleAssess competitors and product market dataProvide management with analyses and reportsSpecify and oversee the research and product/consumer test needed[Qualifications]Minimum 8+ years of experience in a similar role for a beauty, cosmetics,fashion, or related businessAt least 5+ years in Market insightsSynthesis: Consolidation of various research into learning (insightful summaries);Synthetize multiple data sets into one cohesive storyCurate and create highly impactful presentations of insights (articulate,strategic, self-motivatedHigh attention to detailPassion for beauty, fashion, knowledge on the categoryProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, ERP/PLM experienceA well-organized and self-driven individual, passionate about streamlinedprocesses and quality productMust be a critical thinker and have an interest in innovationDrive to create groundbreaking products, and create exponential successData-driven method for decision-making using KPIs and metricsBilingual in Korean and English preferredYoull love working here because:Great work environment to grow and learn new skillsWe are collaborative and work closely with each otherWe give everyone a chance to be creative and value input and feedbackTeam lunches, team outings, and team-building activitiesAbout us:We see nails as a canvas for self-expression and an opportunity to let your personalityshine.
