The Wound Center This is a PRN position. The ideal candidate would be able to work at a minimum of 1 - 2 days a week. The Wound Center is a hospital outpatient department that provides evaluation and management for wounds and ulcers of all types. We run clinic with 2-3 medical providers daily, M-F 8am-430pm.This includes 2 MDs, 3 podiatrists and one FNP who all specialize in wound management. Opening RNs undress, clean, assess, measure, document and photograph wounds and enter all information into Epic. Closing RNs apply ordered dressings and educate patient on wound care, dressing changes, nutrition, etc. pertaining to patient wound healing Negative pressure wound therapy, Total contact casting, Skin Sub applications are some of the advanced modalities we offer. BLS required completed prior to end of orientation. Wound care experience preferred but not required. Fast paced environment requiring excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills Collaboration with providers, surgeons, and other members of the patient care team. Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
