SUMMARY: The Capacity Modeling Specialist leads the Supply Chain Capacity Modeling Process, in partnership with cross-functional Operations stakeholders, with responsibility for supporting feasibility evaluations and strategic analysis. Creates and maintains complex models while ensuring accurate capacity is reflected based on a strong understanding of Operations equipment, resources, and material flow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manages and executes capacity planning processes to determine medium-to-long-term material and resource needs. Generates Capacity Strat (Strategic) Plan over the 24-month horizon across multiple sites comprising the network. Produces multi-scenario capacity planning results including utilization views. Collaborates and partners with Operations, Technical Operations to ensure accurate capacity parameters (total usable hours; target capacity, planned hours, etc.) Manages ongoing process for collecting and analyzing Customer demand forecasts in support of capacity models. Manages capacity planning requirements for the site(s) including new pipeline volume and other plant project work, including attendance at Onboarding meetings and vetting for feasibility. Provides and shapes recommendations as required, to support decision-making relative to constraints, asset utilization, product strategies, and resource investments. Conducts evaluation of current processes and supports implementation of changes and improvement in systems, tools, and processes required to improve scalability and efficiency to enable future growth. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a specialization in Supply Chain or related field required and 5-7 years of relevant experience required. Related experience and/or education may be considered. Supply Chain Certification (APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar / IBF) desirable. Experience with ERP & Advanced Planning Systems is required (QAD preferred.) Planning or manufacturing experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or Contract Manufacturing or Packaging Personal skills, confidence and teamwork attitude needed to effectively interface with the other functional areas of the company on a matrix basis. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel experience with complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and other data extraction, manipulation, and presentation methods. Experience with SQL, VBA, Excel Macros and report writers such as CyberQuery is preferred. Ability to work on-site five days per week. Fluent in English. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND REASONING ABILITY Experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or Contract Manufacturing or Packaging Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to manage & manipulate large amounts of data & convert to clear business information. Ability to influence others in a matrix environment, including building strong collaborative relationships, considering diverse perspectives and styles. Ability to make sound recommendations based on data and business insights. Ability to target their communications as appropriate for the audience and make presentations to a small to medium sized audience. Ability to anticipate risks and successfully navigate ambiguity, working with multiple scenarios to identify cost/benefit trade-offs and make recommendations supported on data and insights. Ability to challenge the status quo and evaluate processes to determine if refinements would enhance speed of results and productivity or quality &/or Ability to work with Continuous Improvement tools.
