This role will be based in and support the Food City retail locations in the the Greater Sevier County, TN regions.

Job Summary:

The Retail Recruiter will be an integral part of the Human Resources and Retail Operations Teams by supporting hiring in Food Citys stores. The Retail Recruiter will be responsible for implementing strategies for attracting and engaging talent for hourly positions at Food Citys retail locations. The Recruiter will tailor the tools, resources, and processes unique to the brand to drive applicant flow and candidate engagement most effectively. Additionally, the Retail Recruiter will build relationships with various schools, community representatives, and employment organizations in the market area to ensure Food City is an employer of choice. Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities: Implement and drive use of recruiting strategies, tools, and resources to attract and engage hourly associate positions. Identify new channels and utilize new technology to attract and engage a continual pipeline of candidates. Create a candidate experience that highlights the Food City brand and leaves candidates with a positive perspective of the brand, regardless of the outcome. Ensure retail managers use consistent processes to evaluate talent in a way that leads to equitable hiring practices. Drive a focus on diverse hiring strategies; adapt corporate initiatives to meet the needs of retail processes and goals. Work directly with the Human Resources teams and Operations teams to procure visas (J1,H1B,TN) for employment compliance. Coordinate and oversee the Student Exchange Program to aide in supplemental staffing for Food City retail stores. Identify retail-specific opportunities for reaching underrepresented populations and conveying Food City branding. Attend career fairs, hiring events, and community-sponsored events to create experiences for students/candidates; build brand awareness across target populations. Ensure store management teams have the skills needed to effectively assess and identify talent for their stores. Build strong relationships with retail leadership to understand most pressing hiring needs and critically understaffed locations. Utilize toolkit for new store openings. Partner with HR Specialists, Store Managers, and District Managers to meet hiring goals prior to opening day. Be a contributing member of the talent acquisition team, share ideas and drive innovation and efficiencies in the process. Responsible for attending on-site work during normal business hours, in the typical work week, as well as extra time as needed to fulfill job duties through regular attendance. Performs other related duties as assigned. Additional Job Functions: Understand and follow confidentiality policy regarding company information as well as personnel information. Verification, completion, and distribution of vital department reports, documents, and paperwork via written, verbal, or e-mail to the appropriate individuals as deemed by supervision and/or policy. Complete documentation of activities as required. Follow all safety and security measures and guidelines.

Education & Skill Requirements: High School degree/GED required, Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, preferred. Previous experience in retail/grocery operations 2+ years of progressive Human Resources, recruiting, or talent acquisition experience, preferred. Familiarity with Human Resources processes, specifically onboarding and operations, Applicant Tracking Systems, and work permits/visa requirements, preferred. Must possess a valid and unrestricted state-issued drivers license. Ability to prioritize, organize, and work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with competing demands. Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals daily. Ability to attend on-site work during normal business hours, in the typical work week, as well as extra time as needed to fulfill job duties.
