Pipefitter Join our team as a Pipefitter, where you will be working at a steel fabricator performing essential fitting duties. Your role will involve structural steel fitting, flux core welding, and pipefitting tasks. A crucial part of this position is the ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16th of an inch and lift up to 50 pounds. You will also engage in tack welding and other related tasks. Responsibilities: Perform structural steel fitting and pipefitting duties. Execute flux core welding tasks. Read and interpret tape measures accurately to the 1/16th of an inch. Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Conduct tack welding as required. Essential Skills: 1-2 years of experience in structural steel fitting and pipefitting. Proficiency in blueprint reading and welding techniques including flux core, MIG, and TIG welding. Experience with stainless steel, structural steel, and carbon steel. Ability to use hand tools and read blueprints effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience with sheet metal, pulse MIG, and aluminum welding. Work Environment: Work hours are Monday to Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm, and Friday from 5am to 1pm, with occasional Saturday shifts from 5am to 1pm. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, SC. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
