The Day Custodian will play an important role in our Facilities Team by ensuring campuses are kept clean and disinfected thoroughly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Work in a Team to Perform Routine Cleaning (80%) * Classrooms * Maintain clean floors: Sweep daily, Mop weekly, Buff * Sanitize desks and other surfaces daily * Remove trash and replace bags daily * Clean windows regularly (at least 1x weekly) * Dust regularly (at least 1x weekly) * Restrooms * Maintain clean floors: Sweep, Mop daily, Buff * Clean toilets and urinals daily * Sanitize all restroom surfaces daily (i.e. sinks) * Remove trash, feminine receptacles daily, and replace bags * Check toilet paper, soap 2x daily (AM/PM); replace as needed * Exterior * Keep dumpster area clean daily * Sweep sidewalks daily * Pick up trash outside daily * Special Areas * Sanitize water fountains daily * Vacuum carpeted areas daily * Clean stairs daily * Dust and clean hallway windows regularly (at least 1x weekly) * Check all paper towels, soap dispensers daily; replace as needed * Emergency Cleaning (10%) * Safely clean and sanitize areas affected by students' bodily fluids * Safely clean and sanitize areas affected by facilities emergencies, including clogged toilets and/or wastewater * Additional Systems Duties as Assigned (10%)

Qualifications:

* RELIABILITY: On time to work every day. Absences are very rare and communicated in advance to supervisors. * ENERGY: Motivated to work hard during a shift. * RESPONSIBILITY: Ability to work independently, but also demonstrate flexibility * TEAM PLAYER: Maintain a positive attitude and listen respectfully to others * EXPERIENCE: Previous success working as a custodian in school or public settings
