**Senior Software Engineer (Server + Embedded)** Sacramento, California / Engineering / Full-Time

Located in vibrant Midtown Sacramento and rated as one of Sacramentos Best Places to Work, Rhombus is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will focus on the overall stability, security, and scalability of the Rhombus cloud infrastructure. Rhombus Systems is on a mission to make the world a safer place. Rhombus Systems builds cloud managed enterprise IOT devices that help companies improve the security and management of their physical spaces in real time. As a Senior Software Engineer you will be getting an opportunity to work on a broad range of sensors that will be deployed by thousands of companies. This position will involve working on developing products and solving complex problems involving video, BLE, NFC, wireless and low powered battery modules. In addition, you will involve developing scalable cloud architecture and implementing cutting edge power and bandwidth friendly algorithms to collect, report and react to real time events being generated by various sensors. This role has a big impact on bringing reliable, secure and efficient products to market.

**What We're Looking For:** + Independent problem solver, Proficient with C and Java + Experience with scaling cloud + Experience with battery powered and wireless devices (preferred) + Experience with embedded devices (preferred) + Comfortable with fast prototyping and iterations based on customer feedback + Enjoy R&D, tinkering with hardware, evks and working closely with the hardware team to spec out an ideal and fast go to market product plan This position is either remote (PST preferred) or based in Sacramento, CA.
