Job Summary:

The Quality Manager will be responsible for directing and coordinating the total quality control program and procedures. This includes handling communications with customers and suppliers, supervising and coordinating activities of the quality control staff, and performing related quality control (QC) activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and continuously improve our quality management systems to achieve operational excellence.
  • Lead and conduct comprehensive quality audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.

  • Manage and optimize quality control processes throughout the entire production cycle.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Ensure full compliance with IATF16949,  and other relevant quality standards. 
  • Oversee fabrication processes to ensure consistent product quality and reliability.
  • Lead and manage quality improvement projects, driving initiatives that align with our business goals.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year post-secondary degree in a related field is preferred; alternatively, eight to ten years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control roles, particularly within a manufacturing environment.

Technical Expertise:

  • Expert knowledge of Advanced Quality Systems such as IATF16949, Knowledge of VDA6.3 an asset
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in various quality tools and technologies, including Six Sigma, SPC, 8-D, PDCA, and team problem-solving tools.
  • Strong understanding of GDT and part measurement methodologies.
  • Proficient in Customer Quality Databases and Matsu Ohio Quality Systems and SQE manual.

Work Schedule:
