Position Summary: The NC Parts Programmer works and as part of a team of technicians performing tasks associated with manufacturing engineering processing. The primary area of responsibility is working to develop efficient and cost-effective processes for all machining centers. This involves the preparation of detailed manufacturing instructions and N/C programs to produce machined parts and sub-assemblies to meet engineering drawings and specifications. The Programmer will determine the manufacturing procedures and operation sequencing and establish tooling and gauging and machine requirements to fabricate parts. This position requires being accountable for meeting the demands of deadlines and costs associated with manufacturing. Must be able to multi-task as well as work extended hours when required. Requirements: Create and validate CNC programs for a variety of products and support the manufacturing process. Understand multi-axes milling and turning machine tools. Experience creating CNC programs from CAD part models and from paper drawings. Experience specifying the needed tooling and fixtures associated with the CNC Part Programs. Experience proving out part programs and validating associated processes. Experience programming in metric and inches. Know conversational (Mazatrol) and G-code programming.
