Equipment Engineer

as they launch their first US-based factory in

Indianapolis, IN.

As an Equipment Engineer in a highly automated facility, you will be responsible for analyzing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment to uphold and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness in the manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze, inspect, maintain, and repair equipment in facility
Perform Root Cause Analysis, devise solutions, implement improvements, and establish effective prevention measures for problems that arise with equipment
Maintain facility equipment and keep meticulous records of equipment performance, equipment/part failures, machine downtime, and solutions/corrective actions to problems create and maintain a detailed and accessible database of Lessons Learned
Purchase spare/replacement parts for equipment, track purchase requests, maintain spare part safety stock, etc.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures / Work Instructions for using production equipment; train and assess other employees in safe and proper usage of machines
Participate in planning, purchasing, installation, and commissioning of new equipment
Guide, train, and coach equipment technicians in proper machine usage

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in mechanical, mechatronics, or electrical engineering; automation control; or other related field
3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance in high-speed manufacturing environment
Upon starting position, ability to travel to China for one month for solar industry orientation and training
Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Proficient in mechanical / electrical system design principles and Servo control
Proficient in CAD drawings and programming software
Strong experience with automation equipment (e.g., welding machines, laminating machines, cutting machines, etc.)
Strong sense of responsibility and strong communication and teamwork capabilities
Excellent creative problem-solving abilities
