The Controller will be responsible for all Accounting Processes and act as an integral member of the Corporation's Senior Leadership Team. You will create net value for the Company by leading the business to achieve annual operating objectives and long-range plans. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, ad hoc reporting, and developing Budgeting and Forecasting models.

Qualified candidates will ideally have Accounting experience in the transportation industry, excel at communicating effectively with senior management and various departments, understand corporate taxes, be detail-oriented, possess MS Excel knowledge, and be willing to learn. Proven leadership skills and strong business acumen are a must. This position will also be integral in helping the Company with future growth plans.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of hands-on Accounting Experience
• 5 plus years as a Controller
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance.
• Management/supervisory experience.
• Comfortable with being a key participant in the Strategic Planning Process
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability and desire to be promoted into a more significant role.
• Experience working with multiple entities under a parent company.
• Communicate clearly with senior management and other personnel throughout the Company.
• Ability to interact professionally, courteously, and tactfully with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and Transportation Management Systems.
• Deep understanding of Adjusting Journal Entries.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Ability to analyze data and efficiently problem-solve.
• Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Experience in the Transportation Industry is essential.
