**Description**A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) is seeking a part-time exempt Medical Director for the Physician Assistant Program on the Mesa, Arizona campus. The Medical Director oversees all aspects of the clinical program from a medical perspective. This individual works closely with the program director and faculty to ensure continuous development and improvements.**Duties & Responsibilities:**Serves the department by:+ Providing guidance to assist clinical instructors in meeting current practice standards.+ Participating in the continuing accreditation of the program.+ Being an advocate for the program and the students within the medical and academic communityKeeping the chair/program director appraised of any changes occurring in the medical school and community that could potentially impact the PA program.+ Providing continuous, competent medical guidance to ensure that students learn, develop and practice the knowledge and skills essential for successful professional interactions with physicians.+ Attend clinical team meetings.+ Other duties as assigned by department chair.**Skills and Experience Needed:**+ Must possess a medical degree (DO or MD).+ Must be a licensed physician with practice experience, preferably in primary care.+ Experience in the development and administration of clinical education programs preferred.**Characteristics and Personality Traits:**+ Ability to work without close supervision.+ Cooperative and able to work in team situations.+ Excellent management skills.In demonstrating mutual respect for all members of the ATSU community, ATSU is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
