As part of a diverse and hardworking team of Nondestructive Testing specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will perform development and production activities involving Nondestructive Testing (NDT) methods for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of assuring part integrity, quality, and life span. This position will primarily be involved in the Ultrasonic inspection of composite flight hardware and test samples.

Responsibilities will include supporting design teams to maximize inspection of hardware including large composite structures Reviewing and approving drawings, inspection work orders, sand procedure developing and approving Nondestructive Testing t ; Training and certifying Level I and II inspectors per Blue Origins written practice.

This role will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Qualifications:

  • American Society for Nondestructive Testing L3 in one or more of the following methods; Ultrasonics, Eddy Current, Radiography, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Infrared, or emergent methods Terahertz and/or Laser Shearograpy
  • Development and deployment of NDT technologies for which responsible for
  • Determine optimal parameters, techniques, and system calibrations for inspection activity
  • Experience in analyzing resultant data from critical metallic or composite structures
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • Knowledge and experience in NDT Personnel Certification Practices
  • Experience with AS9100 certification
  • Experience with MS Office products is required
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of industry NDT standards
  • Technical Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in a production environment, preferably in aerospace
  • Experience in automated/robotic data acquisition
  • 10+ years of NDT experience

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
