Amazon Kuiper https://www.aboutamazon.com/what-we-do/devices-services/project-kuiper Assembly Technician 12-month contract to potential perm hire Redmond, WA Shift: various shifts available Must-haves - High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience - Relevant high traceability manufacturing experience (Aerospace, Medical or related field) - Hands-on work experience Electrical-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration, and/or Harness Integration experience - Experience in a fast-paced production environment - Hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, torque drivers, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters), as well as standard hand tools Plusses - Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) and/or Avionics certification/license - ASE certification and/or equivalent experience - CFOT certification and/or equivalent experience - Experience reading, interpreting, and working from engineering documentation and/ or drawings - Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment - Prior military service a plus Day-to-Day Amazon Kuiper is looking for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to sit in Redmond, WA. Key job responsibilities - Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations - Assemble and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of avionic LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, handle and install fiber-optics, and PCBAs - Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated - Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems - Identify equipment requirements, process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory - You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables - Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance - Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc) - Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures
