Senior Azure Data Engineer

What does a great Sr. Azure Data Engineer do at Fiserv?

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing our data infrastructure, implementing robust data pipelines, and ensuring seamless data modeling. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure technologies, including Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Power BI, and will be skilled in hybrid data modeling, fabric, and data aggregation. Additionally, experience with Snowflake and Kafka is highly desirable.

What You Will Do

Azure Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and manage end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Pipeline. Ensure efficient and reliable data movement and transformation across various stages.
Azure Synapse and Hybrid Data Modeling: Utilize Azure Synapse for scalable and performance-optimized data warehousing. Implement hybrid data modeling strategies for structured and unstructured data.
Data Fabric Implementation: Architect and manage a data fabric to enable seamless integration and accessibility of data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data fabric aligns with business needs.
ADLS Pipeline Development: Develop and optimize data pipelines for Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS). Implement best practices for data storage, retrieval, and security.
Snowflake Integration: Integrate and work with Snowflake for efficient cloud-based data warehousing. Leverage Snowflake's features for data sharing, multi-cluster performance, and scalability.
Kafka Integration: Implement and manage Kafka for real-time data streaming and event-driven architecture.
Data Aggregation and Transformation: Implement efficient data aggregation techniques to support analytical queries. Transform and cleanse data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Power BI Visualizations: Create compelling and insightful Power BI visualizations to communicate data-driven insights. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
Statistical Analysis: Conduct statistical analysis on large datasets to derive meaningful insights. Implement statistical models for forecasting and predictive analytics. Ensure seamless integration of Kafka with other components of the data ecosystem.
This an in office position - 4 days in office with an option to work Friday from home. First 90 days you'll be expected in office all 5 days.

What You Will Need To Have

Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with much of that time working with Azu
Experience in SQL Server and in managing Azure technologies, including Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Pipeline.
Strong expertise in hybrid data modeling and data fabric implementation.
Experience with data aggregation, transformation, and statistical analysis.
Skilled in creating Power BI visualizations for effective reporting.
Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and retrieval best practices.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.

What Would Be Great To Have

Experience with Snowflake and Kafka for cloud-based data warehousing and real-time streaming

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, New York or Washington.
