The work we do building families offers stimulation, challenge, and personal reward. We are seeking a per diem OR/PACU RN to join our Jacksonville, FL team. The schedule is on call/as needed daytime shift. How you'll contribute: Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed Provide patient education What you'll bring: Active RN license 1 year minimum Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience required Current BLS and ACLS certification Proficiency with IV's required Strong technical and clinical assessment skills Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment Ability to communicate accurately and concisely More important than the best skills, however, is the right person.
