We are seeking a Document Control Specialist based in Brookville, PA. This position will be responsible for managing the documentation processes within our manufacturing environment. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will ensure that all documents related to production, quality control, and regulatory compliance are accurately maintained, updated, and accessible as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Management: Oversee the creation, revision, approval, distribution, and archival of all manufacturing-related documents, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, quality processes, and engineering drawings.
- Version Control: Maintain accurate version control for all documents, ensuring that the latest revisions are readily available to authorized personnel while obsolete versions are appropriately archived.
- Document Review: Facilitate the review and approval process for new and revised documents, coordinating feedback from relevant stakeholders and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Change Management: Manage change control processes to document and track modifications to procedures, specifications, and other controlled documents, ensuring that changes are implemented effectively and communicated to impacted parties.
- Training Support: Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for employees on document control procedures and systems, ensuring that employees understand their responsibilities for document usage and compliance.
- Compliance Assurance: Monitor document control processes to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, initiating corrective actions as necessary to address non-conformities.
- Audits and Inspections: Support internal and external audits and inspections by providing documentation and demonstrating adherence to document control procedures and regulatory standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in document control workflows, systems, and procedures, implementing enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- High school diploma required. Previous relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of basic blueprint reading is helpful, not required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
