Description

Job Summary:

The Programmer 2 is responsible for using CAD software to convert fabrication drawings into machinable parts on the CNC machines (punch press, laser, and press brake).

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Read technical drawings and convert 2D and 3D drawings into mechanical components on the CNC machines (punch press, laser, and press brake machines)
  • Recommend scheduled machine runs to provide the highest output of production
  • Verify cutting tools and cutting sequences
  • Determine materials needed for each run.
  • Complete all production, programming, and quality control documentation, as required
  • Makes programming adjustments, as needed.
  • Operate the CNC machines as needed.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned
Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately
  • Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
  • Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with CAD Software and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Experience/Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience related to programming CNC machines.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Able to traverse production floor as needed
  • Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection while working on the production floor


Salary Description

$25.00-$27.00/Hourly
