JOB SUMMARY

The Billing Specialist duties are subject but not limited to analyzing financial information, maintain complete and accurate records, assist with routine accounting duties, invoicing, effectively managing customer accounts, researching discrepancies on invoices and provide prompt, courteous responses to inquiries or complaints from clients, vendors, and/or leaders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Work closely with Accounting/Finance team.Assist with AR processing.Create invoices and billing materials to be sent to customers while ensuring completeness, accuracy, and submission deadlines are met.Collect payments on past-due customer accounts by researching invoices and contacting appropriate customer contacts professionally.Collaborate with customers, third party institutions, and internal team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and account discrepancies.Waiver and Release managementManage all billing disputes from submittal through resolution.Ensure customer information is updated in systems.

Learn to use Procore and other various software to help keep financial data accurateEnsure compliance with internal accounting proceduresMaintain accuracy and confidentiality of financial records and customer information.Perform administrative and other tasks as neededResponding to all customer inquiries in a polite and timely mannerOrganize files for billing, customer and client records, etc.Follow all B.R. Building Resources Company policies and proceduresAdditional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications and Experience

Accounting degree or equivalent work experience preferred1-2 years experience in accounts receivable or collectionsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesAbility to function well in a high-paced and stressful environmentComprehensive understanding of accounting fundamentals and billing proceduresAttention to detail is requiredProven organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise recordsAbility to work collaboratively in a team setting

Can work independently and productively without supervision when requiredFlexible and willing to take on additional tasks as neededOrganized and able to manage multiple priorities while being self-motivated, dependable and team playerProficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with Sage Intaact or Procore is a plus

Physical Requirements:

It may require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
