Responsibilities:
Assist with the processing of in and outbound shipping, communication with couriers, identify and solving issues.

Supports the day-to-day operations of shipments containing clinical trial supplies and samples.

The "Associate Logistics Coordinator - Shipping Assistant" ensures a high level of support, service, reliability, and availability to internal departments.

Additional / Specific Job Responsibilities:
Reports to Team Lead Site Services or above

Packs, prepares paperwork for, and monitors outbound shipments of re-supply orders, Inter Company Transfers, material for other departments (IT, HR...) shipped out of PPD GCL

Responsible for monitoring of temperature-controlled supplies stored at PPD GCL.

Responsible for contacting couriers to follow up and arrange pickups of shipments delivered in error at PPD GCL.

Manages urgent requests for pre-printed AWBs for sites.

Monitors stock and manages re-order process for courier-provided shipping material (packaging, labels, pouches...).

Supports the site services logistics coordinators
Coordinate the review and action required on custom reports

Requirement:

Shipping assistant will be supporting the Highland Heights Sample Management department concerning outbound sample/supply shipments and Lab shipments The role is a combination of online activity: email, Teams, Excel reports/tracking and physical shipping to support Lab, IT and supply shipments, as needed.

Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required and minimum of two years general logistics experience with clinical trials required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent client and phone service skills
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and laboratory principal's pre-analytical, analytic, and post-analytic influences on specimens and results Intermediate level of computer literacy
Accurate data entry skills
Superior analytical, interpersonal and time management skills
Excellent verbal communications and customer service skills in the English language - additional languages are an advantage
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support quality decision making
Proven negotiation and problem resolution skills
Maintains confidentiality of client protocols and study data

Skills: Shipping/Receiving (1-2 years) preferred
