Job Title: Machine Programmer

SUMMARY: Primary owner of CNC mill and lathe programming.

WAGE TYPE: Hourly

FLSA Exemption: Non-exempt

  • Writes and installs program for operation of CNC mills, lathes, press brakes, lasers.
  • Sets up, services and operates CNC mills, lathes, lasers, press brakes and/or auxiliary equipment.
  • Makes machine adjustments and enters changes into programs.
  • Insures machines are producing parts to specifications before releasing job to Machine Operators.
  • Monitors operations for quality and productivity and assists in problem solving.

  • Reports to: Team Leader
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

Education and/or Experience:

Expected: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: Electroplating experience

Communication Skills:
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
  • Ability to read and analyze technical procedures, control plans and government regulations.
Other Skills:
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack and electronic equipment
  • Proficient at using computer.
