GENERAL SUMMARY
The Marketing Communications Specialist offers real-time electronic support (voice, text, chat) to the Marketing team, acting as an extension of advertising and marketing communication efforts. They engage in live two-way communication of advertising and promotional offers, interacting with Guests on topics like event offers, promotional opportunities, guest surveys, and follow-up promotional items.
CORE SCOPE OF POSITION
- Communicate with Guests through voice, chat, or text to promote and sell promotions and events. The primary objective will be to generate RSVPs, extend offers, and complete guest interactions through effective communication and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing and advertising teams to share insights and optimize departmental strategies for improved effectiveness.
- Initiate outbound communications to Guests using prepared scripts or talking points to introduce products or services.
- Identify and qualify potential leads by gathering relevant information and assessing their interest and needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of Viejas' promotions and events and effectively communicate their features, benefits, and value propositions to prospect guests.
- Deliver communication tailored to the needs and preferences of Guests to generate interest and drive conversions and RSVPs.
- Maintain a database of leads and contacts and follow up with prospects through subsequent calls or texts to nurture relationships and progress growth opportunities.
- Record all interactions, sales activities, and customer information accurately for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Meet or exceed monthly or quarterly communications targets and quotas set by the company to contribute to overall revenue goals.
- Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained.
- Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages preferred.
- Ability to work in a professional high-pressure environment while demonstrating and maintaining good personal relation/people skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work well under stress.
- Must be a self-starter and able to adjust to change.
- Must be able to work flexible hours during the day or evening including weekends, holidays, and all blackout dates.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must be age 21 years of age or older.
- 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training.
- Guest service, Gaming and/or Special Event experience preferred
