This strategic leader is responsible for developing and overseeing organization-wide policies and programs regarding employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, labor relations, talent management, and employee engagement. This position serves as a member of the Executive Team, acts as the Board liaison for the Compensation Committee, and provides leadership on the 'People' strategic organizational result. Business partner with the CEO, CFO, and COO.Supervisory Responsibilities:Provide regular feedback in a respectful and constructive way. Recognize excellent performance and use coaching skills effectively to improve staff performance.Organize and prioritize resources to meet changing work demands.Duties/Responsibilities:HR Strategy and PlanningIdentify, define and implement appropriate human capital strategies and policies for the organization.Ensure alignment of all HR strategies and policies to meet business goals and ensures compliance with applicable labor laws.Create and execute work plans to align and support the needs of the business, including change leadership, workforce planning, resource allocation, organization design/development including culture change initiatives, talent assessment, recruitment, training, and employee engagement.Lead the approach for performance management, talent management and merit review processes.Succession planning strategy and plan for all senior rolesEmployee Relations/Labor RelationsPartner with leaders on issues related to organizational effectiveness, change management, performance management, compensation, and other matters.Partner with Union Leadership on issues related to collective bargaining agreement.Balance the needs of the organization with the best interest of employees in accordance with Human Resource policies and government laws and regulations.Provide guidance to CEO and other executive team members on leadership employee relations issues.Oversee resolution of any employee legal matters, in partnership with internal and external counsel.Organizational Training and DevelopmentPlan and manage training and development solutions across the organization at every level.HR ComplianceEnsure compliance by monitoring legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the Human Resource function.Maintain knowledge of competitive practices, legislation and regulatory changes affecting benefits and recommend changes to leadership.Act in the capacity of the Privacy Officer related to HIPAA compliance, responsible for administering the appropriate discipline for any uses or disclosures that violate these guidelines.Compensation and Total Value ProgramsPartner with the Executive Team to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.Assure that the organization compensation program is competitive and equitable and in keeping with the organization's compensation philosophy.Lead the development of strategy and materials for Compensation Committee meetings throughout the year and execute the approved actions.Bonus and other award programs to ensure alignment with organization results and values.Oversee obtaining and evaluating benefit proposals, changes in plan design, cost, record keeping of benefit plans and monitoring of employee usage and satisfaction.QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent communication skills with executive presence and poiseProven success at developing high functioning teams and leadersAble to move seamlessly from strategy development to executionEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred)Minimum 15 years of relevant and progressive experienceSPHR or SHRM-CP certifications preferredPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to travel as needed.#J-18808-Ljbffr
