Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector serves an integral role to ensure the overall quality of the modular unit by conducting material and building inspections at various stages of the production process.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:

    1. Collaborates and maintains good communication with production employees throughout the modular production process to understand the structure, suggest improvements and confirm compliance to the designated plan design by reading the blueprints / shop drawings.
    2. Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications and conducting visual inspections.
    3. Inspect in-progress production work per plan specifications and shop drawings. This work will require use of tools such as but not limited to, levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; makes recommendations on needed corrections in relation to project plan specifications.
    4. Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
    5. Develop and adhere to defined quality audit process and complete necessary stage gate reviews by documenting inspection results in adherence with production schedules.
    6. Produce quality audit inspection reports and metrics.
    7. Update job knowledge as work is performed and help to revise production manuals, as needed.
    8. Focused continuous quality improvement throughout the production process.
    9. Always adheres to safety protocols and follows policies and procedures.
    Other:
    1. Regular and predictable attendance within the Ginosko-assigned facilities.

Education/Certification/Licensing/Experience Requirements:
  1. Education: High School Diploma/GED required; advanced education in quality control preferred.
  2. Experience: Five years' experience in the building trades field as a Quality Inspector or Building Code Enforcement is preferred. Previous background in the commercial building production process is a plus. Previous experience working with diverse populations preferred.
  3. Certificates & Licenses: None.
  4. Other Requirements: Strong stakeholder service skills. Exceptional dedication to dependability and punctuality. Strong work ethic. Ability to engage a team toward a common mission. Additional abilities required:
  • Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
  • Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite.
  • High degree of attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.
  • Works well as part of a team.
