Position Summary/Purpose: To assist Marketing Event Planners with traditional enrollment initiatives. Jr. Event Coordinators will have a large amount of responsibility and ownership organizing, facilitating, executing, and communicating a wide variety of event logistics.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
  • Provides general administrative support to Marketing Event Planners
  • Liaise with vendors and stakeholders during the event planning process
  • Builds and maintains a variety of event materials and spreadsheets
  • Assists with event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes
  • Updates training materials as needed
Equipment Used and Responsibility:
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Qualifications:
  • Attention to detail and reliability are a must
  • High level of confidence and leadership to assume lead roles
  • Able to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbally)
  • Ability to learn programs quickly (i.e. Workamajig, CRM, Sharepoint, etc.)
  • Flexible schedule
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Experience/Education:

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
