THE JOB

As a Engineering Technician (Electrical), your roles and responsibilities will include:

Provides electrical support to production departments and leads teams in resolving production issues, including during off hours.

Develops and implements plans to improve waste, defects, downtime, and capacity, often leading teams.

Documents all line modifications, completes change review forms, and updates specifications and drawings.

Manages electrical design, machine controls, programming, and troubleshooting of capital equipment projects.

Supports the development, programming, and design of new production lines, including system testing and programming of various electrical systems.

Prepares detailed electrical design drawings, assures design accuracy, and verifies equipment compliance with standards.

Coordinates activities between vendors, R&D, and plant departments, handles multiple assignments requiring coordination, and ensures safety standards and operator work with equipment are met.

Responsible for the installation, debugging, documentation, and training of personnel for equipment modifications, and directs support personnel in equipment modifications and installations.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal Engineering Technician (Electrical) would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:

Education:

Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required.

Will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor s in Electrical Engineering with 1-2 years relevant experience).

Experience:

3 years required and 5+ years preferred of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Certifications:

Allen Bradley, Robotics, and Industrial Electronics Certifications preferred.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.

Expertise with RS Logic 5000, Servos, and HMI Panel View.

Desired experience with Vision Inspection Systems.

Software Proficiency:

MS Office: Word, Excel, Power Point

Solid understanding of AutoCAD (CAD), Servos, and electrical design tools.
