Splunk Administrator Location:

Hartford, CT (Onsite) Duration : This is a 6-month contract position with a strong possibility of extension based on performance.

About the Role: We're seeking a skilled Splunk Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in managing our Splunk environment. You'll be responsible for ensuring data is collected, indexed, and readily available for analysis.

Responsibilities: Manage and maintain a Splunk Enterprise environment, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. Configure data inputs, manage indexes, and troubleshoot data ingestion issues. Utilize Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) to create reports and dashboards for data visualization and analysis. Perform user management and access control within the Splunk platform. Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure secure and efficient data collection and analysis. Troubleshoot and resolve Splunk-related issues, including server administration tasks.

Qualifications: Splunk Enterprise Certified Administrator (or equivalent experience) Proven experience managing and maintaining a Splunk environment Strong server administration skills on Linux and Windows platforms Experience installing and configuring software Excellent troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving issues with Linux/Windows servers, firewalls, and network connectivity

Preferred Skills: Experience with Splunk integrations with other IT systems Scripting experience (Python, Powershell, etc.) Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment (a plus)
