REGISTERED NURSE (RN) POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality care within the defined scope of practice outlined by the local state nurse practice act for Registered Nurses.
They work in compliance with local regulations, delegate and supervise nursing activities to other competent personnel, and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Acting as a patient advocate, the RN upholds the quality of healthcare and promotes best practices within the nursing profession.
REGISTERED NURSE (RN) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain accurate and detailed records
Administer medications and monitor patient reactions
Record medical information and vital signs
Monitor and report changes in patient condition
Collaborate with healthcare team members
Adjust treatment plans based on patient responses
Supervise nursing staff or a specific unit
Prepare patients for treatments and assist as needed
Educate individuals and families on health topics
Organize and maintain medical supplies
Order and evaluate diagnostic tests
Perform additional assigned duties
REGISTERED NURSE (RN) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Registered Nurse licensure in the state of employment
Active CPR certification
Familiarity with state laws and regulations
Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies
