Logistics Customer Service Representative 3rd Shift Company: Forward Air Corporation Position Overview: The Customer Service Representative handles external customer questions, complaints and shipment tracking inquiries via phone and email, providing courteous, professional, and timely resolutions. The role is scheduled Monday?Friday, 8:00?PM 4:30?AM, with compensation of $22.87 per hour. Core Duties & Responsibilities Answer incoming customer calls and provide detailed information. Notify customers daily of freight availability. Perform data entry for domestic and international bills. Maintain driver sign?in log and cash log file. Keep files orderly per operations procedures and policy manual. Perform daily audits on all outbound shipments. Arrive inbound manifest and close out outbound manifest in AS400. Consistently monitor e?mail requests and provide timely details. Maintain dependable attendance. Prepare in?bond documentation (small?station only). Verify acceptance of containers and proper documentation (small?station only). Maintain office cleanliness (vacuum and trash empty small?station only). Process dock receipt for export bookings and maintain spreadsheet (small?station only). Other duties as assigned. Requirements Demonstrated ability complete assignments on time and meet deadlines. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with employees and managers. Long?term career intent with a leading company. Positive corporate image in a fast?paced environment. Proactive team collaboration with all support departments. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). General administrative skills: filing, data entry, photocopying. Ability to handle heavy workload and work well under pressure. Knowledge of industry documents (bill of lading, master airway bills, TSA forms). High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must pass basic hazardous materials training. Skills Can?do attitude with strong work ethic. Ability to work in a fast?paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with AS400 operating system is a plus. Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus. Computer skills: MS Office/Excel, AS400 functions (air?bills, manifest, customer, customer service, reports). Forward Air is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
