Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

to join us in

Hayward, CA

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for assisting with supporting the production build of various systems on the manufacturing floor. Responsible for planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of Manufacturing techniques, procedures, and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable build and quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Requires a broad knowledge of Manufacturing Practices, Assembly Prints, and Bill of Materials to be able to create Manufacturing documentation such as S.O.E.s (Sequence of Events) and Assembly Process Workflow. Provides technical direction and on-the-job training to production staff. Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates the Manufacturing Engineer portion of the system build. Prepares and/or modifies work instructions, BOM structures, and training curriculum. Ensures proper interdisciplinary coordination and effective communication on projects. Requires contact with Customers and vendor representatives. Attends and participates in Customer meetings. Confers with engineers, technicians, customers, and others to discuss best practices to streamline build processes and procedures. Inspects completed systems; partners with Manufacturing and Quality organizations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards. Supports project production efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Investigates customer or internal issues determine the nature and extent of the problem and recommend corrective actions. Assists in cost estimations and development of capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs. Evaluate and processes Engineering Change Orders. Performs other duties as required. Knowledge of electronic Work Instruction software is a plus (i.e., Sequence). ERP System Software Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite, emphasis in Excel. Prior experience leading small teams to achieve project success. Good interpersonal skills: ability to work alone or in a team environment. Educational/Certification Requirement

: Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related Experience Requirement: Work Experience:

5+ years' experience in high-technology manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry. Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

The pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between $81,300 and $130,100/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including variable pay and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO (Paid Time Off) and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
