Job Summary:

The Human Resource Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department. This role provides administrative support, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.

•Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.

•Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.

•Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by HR team.

•Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.

•Files documents into appropriate employee files.

•Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.

•Prepares new-employee files.

•Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.

•May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.

•Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.

•Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications, Knowledge, & Skills:

•Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.

•At least two years related experience required.

•Bilingual highly preferred.

•Proficient with or the ability to learn, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications. Experience with Paylocity a plus

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

•Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.

•Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00/hr

Physical Requirements:

•Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

•Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
