Groundskeeper / Custodian / Laborer The Marblehead Housing Authority is looking for a Groundskeeper / Custodian / Laborer to join it's dynamic team. This is an entry level position that has a special focus on landscaping, cleaning, and helping and learning from our staff tradesmen and mechanics. This position performs a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled tasks in maintenance and repairs of the physical properties, grounds and equipment, such as painting, minor carpentry, landscaping and custodial work. This person will be doing daily and weekly cleaning and trash removal and will assist the mechanics and skilled tradesmen with any and all maintenance work. This job requires the applicant to carry a cell phone and be on call on a rotating basis. The applicant will be able to pass a Massachusetts criminal offender record information (CORI) screening and to pass a physical examination and a drug screening (not marijuana). A High School diploma (or equivalent) is required. The successful candidate will be professional, conduct and comply with the requirements of position. This position has a six-month probationary period. This is a 40 hour per week, full time, position, with excellent benefits. The hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4pm. On-call rotation responsibilities include a stipend. Pay is determined by rates set forth through the Department of Labor. Bilingual (Spanish) applicants encouraged.
