Hiring Opportunity: Dayton, OhioOur client is looking for a Machinist to join a top metal forming company, known for their close tolerance hand spinning, CNC metal spinning, hydroforming, metal stamping and punching, and laser cutting. The Machinist will program, set-up, operate, and monitor various CNC machines, including vertical mills, vertical turret lathe, and horizonal lathesJob RequirementsResponsibilities:-Plan, understand, and interpret drawings, specifications, material and operating instructions before and while running operations and equipment-Produce and inspect parts against drawings specifications within time allotted; ensuring product meets specified quality standards-Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and fixtures/gauges to check work to drawings-Verify initial product quality checks and complete all processing operations-Update related paperwork upon completion of tasks-Program utilizing Conversational G&M Coding and/or CAD/CAM software-Trouble shoot program errors-Ability to stand and operate machinery throughout the duration of shift, except for scheduled breaks-Ability to lift required objects with or without assistance, turn, load/unload required objects-Maintain current, overall, and job specific trainings and requirementsQualifications/Educational Requirements:-Excellent communication skills and detail oriented-Manage time with little to no supervision, self-motivated-Foundational understanding of machining techniques, interpretation of geometric dimensions and tolerances with the ability to turn a range of components on a lathe-AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitment-MasterCam experience or equivalent is a plus-CNC (conversation and G&M code) Milling experience-High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred-Minimum three (3) years of experience
