**Job Summary**

As the friendly face and brand ambassador of Watsons Greenhouse and Nursery, the Cashier position supports customers from the moment they enter our parking lot. We are proud of the high quality, high service shopping experience we offer our customers and this role is key to conveying our passion for living garden, home and life to everyone who visits.

This seasonal, temporary, part-time position reports to the store manager.

**Position Responsibilities**

* Engage walk-in guests promptly, personally and with the goal of opening the conversation and ensuring they feel welcome.

* Swiftly and adeptly operate the cash register ringing up sales, bagging items, requesting price checks, honoring coupons, collecting payment and giving appropriate change, etc.

* Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers.

* Understand who our guests are, what brought them to Watsons, their intent and timeline to purchase, creating a connection and personalized shopping experience.

* Value a proactive team-player outlook, jumping in to help your co-workers, leaving things better than how you found them.

**Position Requirements**

* Willing to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

* Able to stand for an 8-hour shift.

* Must be able to lift or move up to 50lbs, and push/pull racks on wheels of 100lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.

* Ability to stand, climb, squat, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods of time.

* Weekends are required.
