We are looking for a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsThe Nuclear Cardiology Technologist performs nuclear cardiology exams providing the highest level of customer service and image quality. The technologist also receives, calibrates, logs, administers and monitors the decay of radioactive isotopes following appropriate policies, procedures and radiation safety practices.What you will do in this role:You will perform nuclear medicine exams following protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care.You will receive, calibrate, log, administer and monitor the decay of radioactive isotopesYou will provide radiation safety support in the event of a radiation incident/spillYou will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.You will record patients' medical informationYou will coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete.You will inform the patient about the procedure and answer questions.You will interact and professionally communicate with co-workers, physicians, patients, and family members.You will maintain all licenses, certifications, and accreditations required as outlined in Job QualificationsYou will adhere to the facility ICARE valuesYou will prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.You will prepare education the patient on discharge instructionsYou will demonstrate the ability to perform technical skills and procedures.You will be knowledgeable in the handling of radioactive materials.You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.You will properly measure radioactive waste and know how to dispose of it properly in accordance with regulatory guidelines.What qualifications you will need:Graduation from an accredited school of Nuclear MedicineCurrent registration as CNMT or ARRT-NM or registry eligible with requirement to pass registration within 1 yearBLS required12 Lead EKG class TriStar Centennial Medical Center is a 740+ bed comprehensive facility.
