It is a peaceful, scenic, community-oriented area with an abundance of amenities to suit every taste.JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSScheduled Weekly Hours: 40JOB SUMMARY: Provide comprehensive and high-quality care to hospitalized patients with neurological disorders. The scope of services includes diagnosing, managing, and treating neurologic diseases in the inpatient setting only as a consultant with no primary patients or outpatient clinic responsibilities. 7 on 7 off block schedule with flexibility and dedicated hospitalists and nocturnists to cover nights.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Medical Degree from an ACGME accredited schoolMust be licensed by the Louisiana State board of Medical ExaminersBoard Certification or Eligible for Board CertificationEpic experience a plusPractice-based learning and improvementPatient care and procedural skillsSystems-based practiceAppropriate medical knowledgeInterpersonal and communication skillsProfessionalismPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.Physical Effort required: Constant (67%-100%) - handling/feeling, talking, hearing, seeingFrequently (34%-66%) - reachingOccasionally (1%-33%) - lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), balancing, stooping, crouchingEMPLOYMENTEach St. Tammany Health System staff member is expected to conduct himself or herself according to our mission, vision and values.
