Location: Rome, NY Position Type: Permanent Full-Time Physician Internal Medicine Overview Permanent inpatient Internal Medicine opportunity providing overnight hospitalist care with a manageable census and strong specialist support, ideal for both new graduates and experienced physicians seeking work-life balance. Practice Highlights • Inpatient nocturnist role with an average census of 5 10 patients per night • Admissions from ED and direct physician referrals • Open ICU with 24/7 intensivist consultant support • Collaborative care with nursing, specialists, case management, and ancillary teams • Participation in interdisciplinary rounds and structured handoffs • Discharge planning coordination to ensure safe transitions of care • Quality improvement, safety initiatives, and performance metrics involvement • Teaching and mentorship opportunities for learners and APPs (if applicable) • Paragon EMR system Candidate Requirements • Board Certified or TRULY Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (within 1 year) REQUIRED • New graduates accepted • 1 year of experience preferred, not required • New York license (or willingness to obtain) REQUIRED • DEA REQUIRED • Clean malpractice and license history REQUIRED • Not accepting Locums candidates • Not accepting Visa candidates • 1099 candidates NOT accepted Schedule & Coverage • Full-time inpatient nocturnist schedule • Manageable overnight census • Supportive handoff structure between day and night teams Compensation & Benefits • Guaranteed base salary: $325,000 annually • $15,000 starting bonus • Productivity and quality bonuses available • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage • Malpractice insurance with tail coverage • Generous PTO plus 5 CME days with annual CME allowance • 403(b) retirement plan with employer match • Short- and long-term disability insurance • Life insurance, EAP, FSA, and HSA options • PSLF-eligible employer • Career growth and advancement opportunities Why Rome, NY?
