Our client is seeking a Payroll/Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and excellent client communication skills, which will align successfully with the organization's needs.

Job Title: Payroll/Bookkeeper

Location: Neenah, WI

Pay Range: $25 - $30/hr

What's the Job?

  • Register LLCs or other entities with the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) and apply for Employer Identification Numbers (EINs).
  • Assist clients in setting up and managing QuickBooks Desktop or Online, including monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping tasks.
  • Process payrolls on various schedules and handle all related tax payments and filings, including Forms 941, 944, UCT-101, WT6, WT-7, W3/W2, and 1099s.
  • Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax returns and manage client registrations for necessary IDs and online portals.
  • Create year-end workpapers for tax return preparation and handle bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, and accounts receivable/payable.
What's Needed?
  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Online.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and sales tax compliance.
  • Familiarity with registering entities with the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions and applying for EINs.
  • Experience in preparing and filing various payroll tax forms and sales/use tax returns.
  • Ability to assist clients with bookkeeping setup and maintenance, including bank reconciliations and workpapers for tax preparation.
