Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for a, Senior Structural Engineer , for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant near Richland, WA. This onsite role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization. Our client is targeting $85.00/hour for this role.

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Project Overview:
The Hanford Tank Waste Treatment Plant will use vitrification technology to process and solidify radioactive and chemical waste stored at the Hanford site. This full-time position works a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off.

Responsibilities:

  • Originate and check complex structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, material requisitions.
  • Reviews and coordinates technical documents with/from other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction.
  • Prepare technical reports related to specific design issues.
  • Manage specifically assigned project activities.
  • Assist in constructability reviews.
  • Support construction by dispositioning field change requests and nonconformance reports.
  • Act as a mentor or coach for subordinate engineers and designers.
  • Schedule and coordinate off-project review requirements for engineering deliverables.
  • Lead and/or participate in technical discussions with client, suppliers, construction, etc.
