Terrific position with a social services nonprofit in New York City. The Economic Stability Specialist will join a team that provides case management services for domestic violence survivors. The position will manage a caseload of clients, providing assistance in 3 major areas: (1) employment, (2) education, and (3) financial literacy. The role will also be responsible for identifying other services provided by the organization that could be beneficial and connecting clients with the appropriate resources in those areas. Qualified candidates should have approximately 2+ years of case management, social work or related experience. Bachelor's degree in social work or a similar field is required. Successful candidates will be collaborative, friendly, approachable, and sensitive to victims of domestic violence. The position currently operates on a hybrid model in New York City. The salary range is $52,000 to $57,000 per year, based on experience plus excellent benefits, currently including:

Responsibilities:
  • Assess the needs of clients related to economic/financial stability, education, and housing stability
  • Create and implement service plans to address needs
  • Refer clients to internal departments and partner agencies providing relevant services
  • Identify housing needs and assist in applications for housing programs
  • Continue to build and use the organizations network of community resources
  • Complete all case documentation and enter into the appropriate systems
  • Conduct and participate in outreach events
Qualifications:
  • Approximately 2+ years of case management, social work or similar experience
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a similar field required
  • Friendly and able to build relationships with clients
  • Experience using a database, Salesforce a plus
  • Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, workforce training, or similar programs preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus
