The Lactation Network is seeking an experienced Creative Director with a strong content development background who can inspire and manage a team of internal and freelance creatives. This role requires a deep commitment to collaborative, deadline-driven work, and effective, inspirational creative development. You'll need to be highly collaborative, communicative, and undeniably organized and detail-oriented to have an impact in this role.

We are a small, tight-knit, purpose-driven organization with aggressive growth goals in 2024 and beyond. We don't have all the answers and we don't expect you to, either. We do expect you to be curious, hardworking, and striving to be your best self.

Breakdown of the role
  • Creative Team Leadership (30%): Lead and manage a team of internal and freelance creatives, to develop creative collateral and compelling campaigns that support business KPIs.
  • Creative Concept and Development (30%): Develop and execute creative collateral and campaigns that resonate with our discrete audiences and support our business KPI's.
  • Brand Campaign Development (20%): Develop and execute brand campaigns that are culturally influential and build awareness of our organization and the critical role that IBCLC's play in the healthcare space.
  • Be the Brand Thermometer (15%) Act as the translator of brand expression and hold a consistent standard. Create audience messaging guides that support creative consistency and align the broader team during the development process.
  • Process Management and Measurement (5%): Create and manage processes to ensure efficient content production and project management, while connecting back team impact to KPI's.
What you'll do

Reporting directly to the CMO, you'll have the following responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire a team of creatives, driving them to produce high-quality, impactful work.
  • Develop and execute innovative brand campaigns and marketing collateral that resonate with our diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with various departments to maintain brand consistency and manage external agencies to meet project timelines and quality standards.
  • Stay informed about industry trends to continually enhance our creative strategies.
  • Manage and streamline content production processes for efficiency.
  • Create patient, IBCLC, and commercial-facing content that educates, supports, and connects audiences.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the company's goals and brand strategy.
  • Use data to refine and improve content effectiveness and user experience.
  • Handle project management to keep initiatives on track and deliverables on time.
  • Be the guardian of the brand's voice, ensuring consistency across all communications.
What we expect from you
  • 6+ years in a creative leadership, content management, strategy, or development role, with proven success in delivering accurate, impactful creative.
  • Strong background in managing and leading teams covering both copywriting and design.
  • Experience culturally influential brand campaigns.
  • Ability to edit and fine-tune work, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Clear, consistent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
