SEC Accountant

Our client is looking for an experienced SEC Accountant to join their finance team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The ideal SEC Accountant should have a strong background in accounting, a deep understanding of SEC regulations, and a passion for contributing to the success of a growing construction company.

Responsibilities Of SEC Accountant
Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) for SEC filings.
Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.
Maintain a thorough understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SEC regulations, and apply them in financial reporting.
Assist in the preparation of earnings releases, investor presentations, and other external communications materials.
Participate in the preparation of financial reports for internal management and stakeholders.
Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and SEC regulations, ensuring compliance.
Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance department.
Collaborate with external auditors during the quarterly and annual audit processes.
Handle ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as needed.
Qualifications Of SEC Accountant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on SEC reporting.
Strong understanding of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.
Proficiency in financial reporting tools and software, including MS Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Construction industry experience or knowledge is a plus.
