SUMMARY:

Provides WAN / LAN / Wireless network and system level technical support, to include day-to-day management of Network Security, installation and analysis. Responsible for enterprise-wide technology project implementation, maintenance and overseeing support for the network and VOIP system. Ensures availability and resilience of infrastructure services to SDMI users, vendors and our patients in production and non-production environments. Acts as the backup Systems Administrator. Other duties include but not limited to: Collaborates with Sr. Network administrator, staff, department heads and external partners or regulators in complying with federal and state laws, regulation and directives. Participates in the evaluation, recommendation and selection of hardware and software tools. Involved in developing and maintaining SDMIs business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Concentrates on network administration and monitoring of infrastructure, including patching and hardening. Provides technical documentation across all 7-layers, inventory, diagrams, security guidelines, service oriented documentation including web based work orders. Management of vendor remote access. Work as the network escalation point for the IT team; identifies problems and effects corrections. May perform other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of SDMI.

MINIMUM SKILLS, ABILITY AND REQUIREMENTS:

At least 4 years of experience that is directly related to Network and security administration.

Network+, Security+ or equivalent

CCNP or equivalent

Advanced understanding of technology interoperability with a focus on networking and security technologies

Knowledge of wireless and firewall technologies

Ability to quickly adapt to a dynamic environment and handle difficult personnel situations.

Solid communication skills including excellent writing and presentation skills

Ability to develop and write systems and applications documentation and guides for users.

Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.

Any employee who discovers, is directly involved in or is responding to an event/occurrence/risk is required to complete or direct the completion of an occurrence report within 24 hours of event/occurrence/risk.

My job performance, including current competencies will be reviewed by my supervisor on a periodic basis. If my job performance/ current competencies are not (or continue to not be) at required level this could result in additional training and/or disciplinary action.

Vehicle registration must be current while vehicle has to be reliable and auto insurance must be up to date.

Must possess a valid Nevada drivers license.

Travel to multiple diagnostic clinics/administrative office

This position requires the ability to maintain effective working relationships with all employees including top levels of management.

Skill in organizing time to accommodate changes in workload and assignments in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Skill to pay attention to details and accuracy in completing tasks.

Responds positively to changes in assignments and priorities.

Communicates effectively when follow up is needed.
