Ideal candidates are strategic visionaries with a deep well of clinical expertise and leadership acumen, ready to guide medical teams, shape healthcare policies, drive quality assurance, and oversee program management. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Leadership and Oversight: Spearhead clinical leadership and supervision across all medical staff to uphold the highest care standards. Formulate and implement clinical protocols, guidelines, and policies to elevate patient care and safety. Strategic Planning: Engage in collaborative strategic planning and decision-making with the executive leadership team. Drive the development and realization of the organization's strategic objectives, especially in relation to clinical services and patient care. Quality Improvement: Champion initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. Oversee performance indicators, adopt evidence-based practices, and ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards. Staff Development: Nurture and develop the medical staff, promoting an environment of ongoing learning and enhancement. Manage credentialing, recruitment, and retention strategies to assemble a top-tier medical team. Patient Advocacy: Act as a principal advocate for patient safety and satisfaction, ensuring patient care practices are centered around patient needs and conform to the highest standards of practice and ethics. Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee compliance with all pertinent local, state, and federal healthcare regulations. Remain informed of legislative changes and adjust clinical policies accordingly to ensure continuous compliance. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate extensively with other departments to integrate clinical services with the wider organizational goals. Encourage interdisciplinary cooperation to improve patient care and operational efficiency. Minimum Qualifications: An M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution. Current state medical license and board certification in an internal medicine or gerontology focus. At least 5 years of clinical experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity within a healthcare environment. Demonstrated proficiency in leading and managing a diverse team of medical professionals. Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations, medical ethics, and clinical guidelines. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A documented history of implementing successful quality improvement initiatives and achieving significant enhancements in healthcare delivery. Preferred Qualifications: An advanced degree or certification in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field. Proven experience in strategic planning and implementation within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and healthcare IT.
