Job Summary

The primary role of the Health & Well-Being Consultant will be to work directly with business partners to ensure that all aspects of wellness programming are handled accurately, professionally and consistent with established Prisma Health protocols. They will also be regionally responsible for assisting partners with successfully navigating health risks and identifying local resources to support positive behavior change, as well as, ensuring continued collaborative communication between Prisma Health and business partners. As part of this work, Health & Well-Being Consultants will create and implement programs, coach low to moderate risk individuals, lead support groups, teach wellness classes and report outcomes to Business Health partners.

Accountabilities

  • Educate through motivational interviewing and health resource navigation, at both the individual and group level, while following all specified program guidelines and recommendations.
  • Creates, maintains, updates, reconciles and conducts quality checks for programming and computer databases including incentive tracking/awarding, utilization, condition-specific data and insurance eligibility using IT skills.
  • Evaluation of aggregated client data to develop health management strategy via vendor collaboration and/or data analytics to support unique goals of clients. Presentation of data and proposed wellness programming to audience including Human Resources representative, CEO, CFO, brokers, Business Health supervisors, nurse practitioners, and registered dietitians.
  • Foster strong, positive relationships with partners by using professional communication, critical thinking and organization skills to adapt current workflows and programming to fit partner-specific needs.
  • Maintain direct involvement with employer via all forms of communication (telephonic, in-person and electronic) by offering expert advice with all health management initiatives, including educational and promotional materials.
  • Facilitate positive and open communication with internal consulting teams (i.e. Business Relations, laboratory services, the Care Coordination Institute, the Midlands affiliate & other Business Health clinical staff) to ensure offerings and communications are consistent and streamlined.
  • Other duties to include but not limited to updating policies and procedures, assisting with compliance check-offs, and other administrative duties.
  • Performs assigned clinical features including blood pressure, waist measurement, height, and waist in accordance with Business Health procedures.
  • Manage the regional coordination of wellness fairs, screenings, classes, speakers, seminars, personal training and other programs to promote healthy lifestyles.

Supervisory/Management Responsibility

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health education, Exercise Science, Nutrition, Psychology, public relations, marketing, or other related fields
  • 2 years of experience in healthcare professional and/or health coaching environment with emphasis on professional communication

  • Strong organization, analytical, decision making, planning, attention to detail with proficient working knowledge of Microsoft products required

  • Ability to be self-directed, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a timely manner as requests evolve with changing client needs and environments required
