Due to business growth, they are looking to add an Electrical Engineer to lead the design and evaluation of electro-mechanical products and control systems by developing conceptual layouts, product specifications, electrical drawings and working with manufacturing personnel to develop appropriate manufacturing methods. Develop, set up and conduct laboratory tests to determine performance of components and systems versus specifications and assist the production team on manufacturing tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

Develop/maintain electrical drawings, schematics and documentation using CADD (SolidWorks and AutoCAD)

Create/modify bills of materials (BOM) for associated electrical drawings.

Stay abreast of the latest sensor/control technology and integrate in control systems designs as appropriate.

Develop new/modify existing PLC code for complex building maintenance units (BMU’s)

Perform testing on new and existing control systems and manufactured products.

Develop test protocols for electronic products.

Coordinate UL, ANSI, CSA product submission, testing and certification.

Troubleshoot control system operations for new and existing equipment.

If needed, perform wiring and assembly of electrical components for control systems of capital equipment.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Electrical/Electronic design or similar
  • 2+ years work experience min REQUIRED
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
  • PLC integration and programming (ladder logic design)
  • Sensor technologies (prox, limit, non-contact, etc.)
  • Contactor/relay technology
  • 3 phase/single phase design wireless technology
  • Electrical assembly (panel building)
  • Motor electrical design
  • UL project coordination
  • Electrical/control system trouble shooting.
  • Organizational skills
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Work as an individual contributor and as a team member.
  • Must be US citizen or Permanent resident (unable to provise sponsorship at this time)
