Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Occupational Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for inpatient rehab with a minimum of 18 months acute hospital experience and current BLS certification. Responsibilities Work in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting within a hospital Day shift schedule Monday through Friday, with one weekend day per month required Care for patients across all levels of acuity including ICU and progressive care, with diagnoses such as CABG, stroke, TBI, joint replacements, respiratory illnesses, and neurological conditions Member of a multidisciplinary rehab team of 19 professionals Use of Cerner EMR for charting Floating is required within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals OT is responsible for evaluation, plan of care development, ADL training, therapeutic exercise, and daily assessment of discharge disposition Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with a large rehab team First-time travelers are welcome Any previous perm or PRN employee must be away for 12 months before reapplying as a traveler Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires approval Scrubs must be royal blue and worn with black shoes Requirements Current, active Occupational Therapist license in IN or Compact state; license required if applicable Minimum 18 months of recent acute hospital OT experience Current BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted) Graduation from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE NBCOT certification required Manual Therapy and Lymphedema certifications preferred Cerner charting experience preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628456.
